I’m Alice, a designer and educator from a small farm town in upstate NY. Growing up in the middle of nowhere was a blessing in a lot of ways – I know where eggs come from, I can name at least 10 chicken breeds, and I have a practical knowledge of a lot of (what some might consider) useless things. Living in the country meant finding ways to do things yourself, and not being afraid of a little poop.

I’m passionate about sustainability, a healthy lifestyle, and animals. I’m also obsessive, and that’s where Heck Yes comes in. When I find something I like, it’s all I want to do and talk about. It’s great for things like raking leaves, but a pain when it means I can’t sleep because I’m thinking about pickling vegetables.

I’m excited to share all the things I obsess about here, in hopes that you might become obsessed too!
